Contact — “I don't know what to say.”

Knowing who to talk to is useless if the first message stops the conversation. This stage is about openers, permission, and not leading with a link.

Why this one first

This is the earliest stage your answers marked as broken, and that ordering matters. A problem here starves every stage after it, so fixing something downstream tends to produce no visible change at all. Everything after it — Follow-up, Conversion — stays capped until this is working.

Fix this first

Separate the ask from the send. Ask whether they are open to seeing something first; only send the link once they say yes. It is a small change and it is the difference between a conversation and being ignored.

You are probably in this stage if

You draft a message, reread it, and never send it.
You send links cold and get silence.
Conversations end politely the moment you mention what you do.
You sound like a different person in a message than in real life.

What usually causes it

Pitching before asking permission. The link goes out before the person has agreed to look at anything.
Copying an opener written for a different relationship, so it lands as spam.
Trying to persuade in the first message instead of finding out whether there is any interest.
No repeatable opener, so every message is rewritten from scratch and most never get sent.
