Privacy & data
This is not a template. It describes what this site actually stores, field by field, because a privacy page that does not match the database is worse than none.
What we record
Two things, both in our own database, and both about pages and links rather than about people.
1. Page activity
When you open a page we record the path you viewed, where the visit came from (a referring site's domain, or campaign tags if you arrived from a link we published), and a visit id. If you read for a while or scroll through a page, we record one further event with roughly how long you were engaged and how far you scrolled.
The visit id is a random number generated in your browser and held insessionStorage. It is not a cookie, it is not shared with anyone, it cannot identify you, and it is discarded when you close the tab. Its only job is to let us see that one visit read a page and then clicked a link, rather than guessing.
2. How you move through the site
We also record a small number of journey events: which of the six stages you opened, that you started or finished the diagnostic and which stage it pointed to, which free resource you copied or used, and which product page you looked at. Each is stored as a short label — a stage name, a script name — alongside the same visit id.
That is how we can tell "nobody arrived" from "arrived and never found their stage". It records what was used, never anything you typed: the diagnostic answers, the follow-up helper and the calculator all run entirely in your browser and are never sent to us.
3. Commercial link clicks
If you click a link to a product we recommend, it passes through/go/ on this site before continuing. We record which offer, which page and which button it came from, the destination's domain, and the same visit id and campaign context. Then you are redirected.
What we deliberately do not record
- No IP addresses.
- No browser or device fingerprint, and no user-agent string.
- No cookies for measurement.
- No full referrer URL — only the domain. If you arrive from a private group or a mailbox, the path of that page is never stored.
- No arbitrary query strings from the address bar.
- No name, email or phone number. There is nothing on this site that asks for one.
- No cross-site tracking and no advertising network.
These are enforced in code, not policy: the fields simply do not exist in the database, and the tests fail if anyone adds them.
Do Not Track
If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, the measurement script does not run and no page activity is recorded. Commercial link clicks are still recorded, because that is a link you chose to follow and it carries no personal data.
Third-party analytics
None is currently active. No Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, no third-party tag of any kind loads on this site today. If that changes, this section will describe it before it goes live.
Retention and sharing
Page and click records are kept only in aggregate-usable form as described above, in a database controlled by us and hosted on Cloudflare. They are not sold, not shared with vendors, and not used to build a profile of you. Merchants you click through to will know you arrived from this site, as they would from any link.
We do not currently collect email addresses. The calculator works fully without one and does not ask. If we add an email list later, it will be opt-in, will state what it sends and how often, will have a working unsubscribe link in every message, and this page will be updated first.
Your data
Because we hold no identifier that points to you, we cannot look up "your" records, and neither can anyone else. That is the intended outcome rather than an inconvenience.
