Stage 06 of 6 · your earliest bottleneck
Conversion — “They're interested but never actually join or buy.”
Warm people stay warm forever unless something moves them. Usually the missing piece is not persuasion — it is a specific, easy next step.
Why this one first
This is the earliest stage your answers marked as broken, and that ordering matters. A problem here starves every stage after it, so fixing something downstream tends to produce no visible change at all.
Fix this first
Decide the one next step you are actually asking for, and make it small and specific. "Are you open to a short call with someone on my team?" moves further than "let me know what you think."
You are probably in this stage if
- People are enthusiastic in conversation and then nothing happens.
- You are not sure what you are actually asking them to do.
- You avoid asking directly because it feels pushy.
- The same people have been "thinking about it" for months.
What usually causes it
- No defined next step, so the conversation has nowhere to go.
- Trying to close alone when a second voice would do it better.
- Answering objections you were not asked about and creating doubt.
- Asking for a decision before the person has enough information to make one.
What this stage is not
If very few people ever reach a decision at all, the problem is upstream — usually Traffic or Prospecting — not here.
